Amy Meert Farr, Economic Development Director

 

 

Amy Meert Farr is the Director of the Hartford Area Development Foundation. In February 2021, she began her career with the City of Hartford as the Director of Chamber and Economic Development. Over the past 3 years, Hartford has seen significant growth and with that, she has transitioned into the role of full-time role Economic Development Director as of January 2024.

Over two decades of dedicated work, Amy realizes her passion is in advocating for others and in supporting them to achieve their goals. She worked for the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce for nearly two decades.

Amy and her family have lived in Humboldt/Hartford area for over 20 years, and her commitment to businesses in these communities is steadfast. 

In her new role, she is excited to continue to work with landowners, new and existing businesses, land developers, prospects from outside the Hartford area and community leadership in the continued growth of Hartford.

Farr holds a degree in Business Administration and Graphic Communications and is a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls and Institute of Organizational Management.
