 Bio:

 Karen joined the staff at the City in 2018 with over 25 years of experience in the accounting field. She obtained her accounting degree in 1985 at what is now called Minnesota West Community & Technical College and over the years that followed, has worked in several different industries including medical, construction, advertising, and government. As Finance Officer for the City of Hartford, she is responsible for the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. In addition, other key duties include supervising municipal elections, recording the meeting minutes of all City Council meetings, and assisting in the preparation of the annual budget. Karen and her family reside just outside of Hartford.  In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors; walking, yard work, and spending days at the lake with her family and friends.
