Jim Olson, Public Works Assistant

Bio:

Jim was born and raised in Mclaughlin, SD on a farm/ranch.  He spent a few years in the Navy before moving to Rapid City, SD, where he had a construction company that built post frame buildings.  Once COVID hit, he sold the business to move to Hartford with his daughter Tori so they could be closer to family.  James started working at the city in the fall of 2022.  In the short time he has been with the city, he has obtained his CDL license and pesticide certification.  He enjoys his work for the city since there is something different to do each day.
